Handwritten timesheets, shift plans sent by WhatsApp, temperature logs taped to the fridge, training folders nobody can find, and lottery slips with a calculator next to them. Every inspection meant searching, every payroll run meant hours of adding up — and when auditors came, the record was usually missing.

We did not build a generic shift-planning tool. We mapped the whole working day of the business, developed inside a running petrol station:

• Shift planning with qualifications and automatic holiday blocking, plus time tracking with approval and CSV export
• HACCP-compliant temperature and cold-chain records, digital training with signature
• Cash reconciliation, lottery and wash-card counts with automatic difference calculation
• Runs in the browser on any phone — staff install nothing
• Modules bookable individually, every entry logged with person, date and time

Schichtly is no longer contract work but a product with its own website, tiered pricing and continuous development. Next up is an AI shift planner that drafts the week from availability, approved absences and qualifications, and reschedules when someone calls in sick — publishing only what management has approved. After that: wireless sensors for temperature monitoring and management of EV charging points.
